Henry's Bar

To be sure, to be sure, this pub is very lovely indeed. It has a brilliant 20s or 30s Irish bar feel to it, which I loved. Quite busy when we went there, and fairly smoky, but in a fairly good way, nice and atmospheric with the low lighting and all. Drinks were reasonably varied, good selection of ales as well, of course, as Guinness, and though of course they weren't at student prices, they were fairly reasonable.

All in all, not a bad local, really.

EDIT: I've bumped this back up to the top because we go there quite a lot!!

Stoke Arms

Well since there's an apparent lack of following up on saying "yes, I'll write that review" it's down to me to do so and thus here it is.

Stoke Arms is alright, not particularly brilliant but it just about does the job. There's a lounge area and a bar area which contains juke box, pool tables and dart boards. The land lady was a bit butch.

Beer wasn't particularly impressive so we went to another pub quite quickly. Hopefully me writing up this review will encourage someone else to do one......
