Brook Green
this is the first new pub for a while!
erm.....fairly nice, there is a pool table and a juke box and a tv which keeps getting turned up very loud! (i think this was just becasue of the football...oh dear, nevermind)
i think they have quite a lot of good beer like doom bar and otter, and they also have a lot of southern comfort (but not anymore) :P Unusually, Tim's beer tasted of manure. We wisely chose not to enquire as to its orginis, but we are in Devon after all, so anything is possible. David had a beer which had something to do with squirrels.
However, it was a fairly pricey pub, especially if you chose to have a Southern Comfort which came in an impressively large glass (and which the barmaid tried to take away before James had even started)

That's an old picture of the brook green.
The pub has 6 guest ales on at a time, and is often used by CamRA. The ale pipes are kept immaculatly clean too, making great tasting pints.
The staff are very friendly, everyone in the pub always seems keen to make friends.
The pub attracts a wide mix of students and locals alike. Theres lots of events, regular bands, a tuseday night pub quiz.
Ales never cost more than £2.50 a pint, house doubles are £2.20.
There is sadly no longer a juke box.
All premiership matchs are shown and most other sporting events.
Also southern comfort is £1.90
